Living Ready - The Message of 1 & 2 Thessalonians

The letters of 1 & 2 Thessalonians were written to one of the earliest Christian communities, a young church born in the midst of opposition after Paul proclaimed the good news that Jesus is the true King (Acts 17:1-10). From the beginning, these believers faced persecution because their allegiance to Christ challenged the values, priorities, and claims of the surrounding Roman world. At their core, these letters remind us that the return of Jesus is not merely a future event to be studied, but a present hope that shapes how we live today. Because Christ is coming again to fully establish His Kingdom, renew creation, and make all things new, His followers are called to live lives marked by faith, holiness, love, perseverance, and joyful expectation.
