the vision

Compassion In Action is our shared strategy for funding the work God has entrusted to Via Church. It is how we steward our resources to bless our neighbors, the nations, and the next generation.

At Via, our mission is clear: reflecting the hope of Christ so others can do the same. Compassion In Action allows us to live that mission beyond ourselves. Through it, we support trusted partners locally and around the world who extend our ministry, reflect our values, and serve faithfully in our city and across the globe. We participate alongside them through prayer, generosity, and shared commitment.

This is not something we do alone. Compassion In Action represents what we can do together as a church family. It is bigger than any one person, any one church, or any one organization. It calls us to look beyond what is comfortable or convenient and to step into something that requires trust and generosity.

moved with compassion

“When he saw the crowds,

he had compassion for them,

because they were harassed and helpless,

like sheep without a shepherd.”

Matthew 9:36 (ESV)

what is compassion in action

Compassion In Action is our way of participating in God’s mission by extending the hope of the gospel through generous and faithful living. It reflects a community shaped by God’s love for the world and a shared desire to join Him in what He is already doing.

The profile of a giver to Compassion In Action is the same for everyone. From kids to adults, this is a community open to all, and made up of individuals and families who prayerfully commit to give above and beyond their regular giving as an expression of trust, worship, and obedience.

Through Compassion In Action, we give sacrificially so that God’s love may be made visible and tangible in the world.

Our generosity supports God’s work among our neighbors, the nations, and the next generation.
