There are so many ways to celebrate THE SEASON…

Here are several opportunities to participate and prepare your heart for Christmas:

Our 5 week Advent sermon series titled Advent with the Prophet Isaiah will begin November 30 and run through December. Each week of Advent, we will light a candle on the Advent wreath together, representing the four pillars of the Advent message:

  • Hope (Nov 30)

  • Peace (Dec 7)

  • Joy (Dec 14)

  • Love (Dec 21)

Miss a week? Watch on demand here.

Christmas Eve Choir is for men, women, and kids (with their parents), as well as junior high and high school students, who would enjoy singing praises to our King on Christmas Eve during our holiday services. Our practices are on Sunday nights beginning November 30 and running through December 21. We will also have a dress rehearsal on Tuesday, December 23. If you would like to be a part of this beautiful celebration, register here and we will see you on November 30.

Advent Devotionals, Bible Reading

As always, we have our Bible Reading Plan here. But for especially for Advent, here are a few recommendations to guide you in your devotional rhythms this season:

This is a daily devotional that will help you slow down and rediscover the nearness of Jesus. Includes reflections, prayer, and prompts to help you slow down, connect with God, and rediscover peace this Advent season.

The Jesus Storybook Bible Advent Activity Book is a journey through the Bible stories in both the Old and New Testaments that lead to Christmas. Designed with younger kids in mind, it includes 24 days of crafts along with songs, recipes, and activities to celebrate Advent, with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions and color photos, and more!

This book of daily readings for the month of December by best-selling author Paul David Tripp will help you slow down, prepare your heart, and focus on what matters most: adoring our Savior, Jesus.

As always, you can find our daily Bible Reading plan here. You can also join a communal reading call on Zoom to pray and discuss today’s reading with others from your Via family.

During our four weeks of advent, we will participate in various types of giving. We give during this season to remind ourselves of the foundation of the Gospel, that God gave himself for us.

gifts & Stockings | dec 14

There are many around us who are not able to provide what they would desire for their families. We are going to come alongside these families from Via and in our community during Christmas. Pick up a stocking or gift tag in the Lobby on Nov 30 or Dec 7, and bring your new and unwrapped gifts to the steps of the auditorium on Dec 14.
