Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:5

Dear Via Family,

I cannot believe that the Fourth of July is upon us! I have enjoyed seeing so many Via Church folks taking vacations, making family memories, and enjoying breaks from daily routines. It is very spiritual to Sabbath and enjoy God’s blessings. We are wired by God to rest. I pray that our love for Jesus and His church increases as we get away. If you get a chance, check out a local church where you are vacationing and peer in on what God is doing there.

Here are the nuts and bolts of Via over the next few weeks...

This Sunday
Kingdom People is our new series. We are allowing the beatitudes to shape our thinking about the characteristics of those that follow the kingdom of Jesus. I pray that you read, and reread, Matthew 5:1-12 many times over the next few weeks. Bring your Bible, a friend, and an open heart.  Don’t miss one week of these teachings!

Surge School
Surge School is a 32-week discipleship journey that will provide you with a strong foundation for understanding the significance of the Gospel as it affects all of life.  To learn more, attend our next information meeting, Sunday July 9 at 6pm.  For more details please click: Surge School Info

If you are new to Via Church, or you have been around a while and feel like you are on the outside looking in, then Merge may help you! Merge is a set of three classes (101, 201 & 301) offered on a Sunday night every other month. These 2-hour classes are designed to help you merge into the life of Via Church. I invite you to join us at 101 on Sunday, July 9 at 5:30pm with registration starting at 5:00pm in our Cafe. Our kids and youth programs would love to have your kids while you attend Merge. Hope Initiative
If you haven’t used our online giving, check out how easy it is. This may be very convenient for you while traveling this summer. Here is a quick link: Let’s be rich toward God! To better understand giving and this two year season of generosity, check out Hope Initiative

Each day I pray for you, the congregation of Via Church, to powerfully reflect the hope of Christ wherever you go.  Today, know that your steps are established by the Lord (Psalm 37:23).

It’s all about Jesus,
