For this perhaps is why he was parted from you for a while, that you might have him back forever, no longer as a bondservant but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother…. Philemon 1:15-16

Dear Via Family,

Family, celebration, and rest is very spiritual - I hope that you were able to enjoy each of these things over the past few weeks. And now it seems that everything is winding back up as we start working towards our desired futures in this new year. The Lord is in all of these rhythms. He desires to deeply commune with us. We can encounter the living God in the very ordinary experiences of life. Our lives are designed for big impact but it is mostly accomplished through the small things in life that we do. In 2017, I pray that we will all be faithful to steward every gift that God has given us.

I need you to know a few things as we head into the new year..........

This Weekend
This weekend we will continue and wrap up our focus on work and vocation. There is great purpose in us taking the time to have a Biblical understanding of this topic. As leaders, we have put prayer and planning into these Sundays. I believe that there will be great fruit in us as a congregation.

Merge is the best way to be introduced to Via Church. In Merge, you will discover our story of what God has done here and a bit about where we fit in terms of our beliefs and practices. Join me this Sunday, January 8, at 5:30pm for our next round of Merge- I teach the 101 class and would love to have you there! Click the link for more details and to register.  If this is your first time to Merge, make sure to sign up for 101 using the link below.

Hope Summit
If you did not attend a Hope Summit in 2016, please attend on Sunday, January 22 at 6PM in the auditorium. God has put some huge and compelling vision and goals on our hearts for 2017-2018.  I want you to hear about them. Everyone is invited, but this Hope Summit is especially for those that:

  • Have returned to Via for the winter month.

  • Were unable to attend a Hope Summit in 2016.

  • Have questions about Hope Initiative and our future plans as a congregation.

This night will be inspiring - you will love it!  Thanks in advance for making this a high priority.  Here is the link for more information:
