“The Lord look on you and judge, because you have made us stink in the sight of Pharaoh and his servants, and have put a sword in their hand to kill us.”
Dear Via Family,
Have you ever had high, high hopes only to experience massive disappointment right on its heels? This is not new to the human experience. This weekend I am going to unpack the next portion of Exodus and talk about fighting disappointment with gospel truths. If you are not living this now, you know you will at some point. To prepare your heart and mind before coming, read Exodus 5 and 6.
I have something to ask of you for this weekend...
Would you consider inviting a family member, neighbor, friend, or coworker to attend Via with you? I know that we all think that this is a great idea, but sometimes it remains simply a good intention. This weekend’s message is the perfect opportunity for you to reflect the living hope that Jesus has put in you. Let’s all do this!
Did you know that a portion of every dollar that you give during 2017-2018 will go towards a much needed update of our auditorium building? This includes the pearl of our ministries - the nursery. The concept drawings will be available in the lobby for you to look over this weekend. We hope to make good on this vision. We need to be faithful in building a strong church in order to more effectively bless our city and reach our world.
Hope Initiative is a two-year season of generosity. It is so exciting to see the excitement surrounding all of the elements included in the Hope Initiative. For more information please use this link:
I love where we are as a church right now. The things that God is doing in us are powerful. Thank you for being a part of it all. I feel so honored to be the pastor of our community of faith. You make it a joy to serve!
It’s all about Jesus,
