I do not nullify the grace of God, for it righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
Dear Via Family,
This week my mind has been running the almost countless images and stories that are pouring in from Houston and the other areas hard hit by Hurricane Harvey. It is difficult to fathom...thousands of rescues, loss of life and property, and the fear and uncertainty facing thousands of people. May God use this tragedy to show His love and care for people! Please read the details below on how we as a church can respond with generosity to this horrific situation. Via, let’s show the compassion of Christ in a tangible way!
This week our text will be Galatians 2:11-21. If you have missed any of the first three weeks of this series, I encourage you to watch or listen through our sermon library on our website.
Are you new to Via?
If you are new to Via Church, or you have been around a while and feel like you are on the outside looking in, then Merge may help you! Merge is a set of three classes (101, 201 & 301) offered on a Sunday night every other month. These classes are designed to help you merge into the life of Via Church. I invite you to join us at 101 on Sunday, September 10 at 5:30pm with registration starting at 5pm in our Cafe. Our kids and youth programs would love to have your kids while you attend Merge.
Hurricane Harvey Response
One of our partners in mission, Convoy of Hope, is on the ground providing active relief to those affected by Hurricane Harvey. We feel compelled to provide a unique opportunity for us to financially support the relief efforts through Convoy of Hope to this area. This Sunday, at the end of both services, we will be taking a separate offering which will go directly to these relief efforts. Please prepare for this moment by praying for the victims of the devastation (also the many relief workers who are on the ground) and consider giving a financial gift this Sunday to provide resources and aid to this area. You can also give now to support this cause by clicking the button below.
I love being your pastor - thank you for making it such a joy to serve!
