Exploring how the Spirit makes us more like Jesus

In Galatians, Paul says: “walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). The Holy Spirit is the person who opens spiritually blind eyes to see the truth and beauty of Jesus. This same Spirit raised Jesus from the dead and gives life to our bodies (Romans 8:11). This Spirit who dwells in us, testifies to the reality of what Jesus has done (Romans 8:16). He also works powerfully through his church, using various gifts to edify his church and point attention and affection to Jesus (1 Corinthians 12-14).

On this night, we will explore how the Spirit of God makes us more like Jesus as we prayerfully progress through the book of Galatians together. This public reading of Galatians will be accompanied by various moments of targeted and varied prayer around our tables.
